Gaming Performance with Tri-Band Support

Imagine this: you’re mid-boss fight, laser beams blazing, when suddenly… lag. Your hero freezes, the world stutters, and your victory crumbles to dust. Nightmares, right? The TPLink Archer AX11000 throws that nightmare out the window with its tri-band glory.

This router supports 3 simultaneous bands include 2.4Ghz , 5Ghz and 5Ghz Gaming. TPLink AX11000  allows you to communicate simultaneously and in separate frequency bands with a variety of devices. So that you can enjoy the highest speed of devices. For example, your mobile phone, smart TV and Game console , each connect to a separate band.

  • The 2.4GHz band: With up to 574Mbps, handles essential tasks like web browsing and email with ease, even on older equipment.
  • The 5GHz band: This is super fast! Get downloads for your PC or laptop in seconds, not minutes, with its incredible 4804Mbps speed.
  • The 5GHz Gaming band: This is the ultimate weapon, also clocking in at 4804Mbps but with a special twist. It uses Game Accelerator to prioritize your gaming traffic, ensuring smooth gameplay even when your family’s streaming 4K movies in the next room.

By changing the angle of the antenna, you can direct a stronger signal to the clients that are in the blind spots and ensuring everyone gets a fair share of the internet goodness. This number of antennas support up to 4 simultaneous devices (4*4 MU-MIMO) which increases the quality of communication of all users and devices on the network.

In my testing, the performance was truly impressive. Games loaded in a flash, streaming was buttery smooth, and even multiple online battles happening at once didn’t faze this router. It’s like having a dedicated internet line for each device, and the best part? You don’t need to be a tech whiz to set it up. The interface is user-friendly, and the router does most of the heavy lifting for you.

A Comprehensive Test Experience on TPLink Archer AX11000

I tested the TPLink archer Ax11000’s Wi-Fi strength in different parts of my house using an iPhone 12. (FYI, the real iPhone’s max speed is 110 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 710 Mbps on the 5 GHz band.) I walked around with the phone, checking the signal at these locations:

  1. Near the router: This was just a few feet away from the router.
  2. Kitchen: This was about 30 feet from the router, through a wall and a door.
  3. Bedroom: This was about 50 feet from the router, through two walls and a door.
  4. Upstairs: This was about 75 feet from the router.
  5. Yard: This was about 100 feet from the router, outdoors.

Near The Router:

Right next to the router, things were glorious. Over 105Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and a blazing 720Mbps+ on the 5GHz had me streaming 8K/4K content and downloading files with impressive speed. Signal strength was top-notch, with RSSI values hovering around -41dbm. No lag, no hiccups, just pure Wi-Fi bliss.

Kitchen:

Moving 30 feet away from TPLink archer ax11000, the kitchen became my next challenge. Despite a wall and a door, speeds remained respectable: over 95Mbps on 2.4GHz and a solid 470Mbps+ on 5GHz. The signal strength held strong, with RSSI values was around  -49dbm for 2.4GHz and –53dbm for 5GHz band. for the respective bands. Streaming 8K/4K and downloading continued smoothly, proving the Archer AX11000’s reach extended beyond just the router’s immediate vicinity.

Bedroom:

The 50-foot journey to my bedroom did bring some speed reductions, but not enough to raise any alarms. Over 63Mbps on 2.4GHz and a decent 325Mbps+ on 5GHz kept me streaming 4K video streaming and browsing the web comfortably. Signal strength stayed good, with RSSI values around -52dbm for 2.4GHz and -56dbm for 5GHz band, indicating the router could handle even moderate distances.

Upstairs:

Venturing further to the second floor (around 75 feet away), I was pleasantly surprised. Speeds clocked in at around 41Mbps on 2.4GHz and a surprising 252Mbps+ on 5GHz. While not quite as fast as closer quarters, it was enough for smooth HD video streaming and web browsing. Signal strength remained medium, with RSSI values at -60dbm for 2.4GHz band and -64dbm for 5GHz band, showcasing the router’s ability to provide decent coverage even on different floors.

Yard:

Finally, I tested the router’s coverage into the backyard, pushing the limits at 100 feet away. Speeds dropped more noticeably, but not to unusable levels: around 35Mbps on 2.4GHz and 140Mbps+ on 5GHz. Signal strength was weak, -61dbm for 2.4GHz band and -67dbm for 5GHz band, but SD video streaming and basic web browsing were still possible. While not ideal for heavy-duty tasks outdoors, it’s a decent showing for such a distance.
